Festenao, made by Tekartik (https://tekartik.com/), brings together two apps for festivals and events: Festenao Events, the public side (the festival’s website and app, in its own look), and Festen Orga, the app of the team. The site is in French and English; this is the English version.

## What they share

- One program: Entered by the team in Festen Orga or in the admin, it becomes the audience’s website and app.
- Nothing to install: Everything opens in the browser, on a phone or a computer.
- Offline: The audience keeps the program, the team its lists: with no network, everything stays there and syncs when it comes back.
- French and English: The apps speak French and English, whichever you prefer.
- Data in Europe: Festival data is stored in Europe, with Google Cloud (Belgium).

## Festenao Events

Festenao Events puts your festival’s program online: a fast website that search engines find, and an app your audience installs on their phones. Both take on the festival’s look. You edit, you publish, it’s live.

- The program: Day by day and venue by venue, with the artists, the venues and the info pages: getting there, tickets, food.
- Now and next: During the festival, the home page shows what is on now and what starts soon.
- Favorites: Everyone stars the events not to miss and finds their picks again, without an account.
- Offline: Once opened, the app keeps the program: at the far end of the field, with no network, it is still there.
- Installable: From the website, the app goes on the phone’s home screen, with no app store in between.
- Easy to find: Every artist, venue and event has its own page, fast and readable by search engines and assistants alike.
- Enter the program (organizers): Days, events, artists, venues, info pages and news, with their photos, cropped for the website and the app.
- Publish (organizers): One button: the website and the app are up to date within minutes, for everyone.
- Arrange the menu (organizers): Tabs, or buttons on the home page; entries renamed, reordered or hidden; your own pages, links and icons.
- Pick the look (organizers): Five looks, the festival’s color, its logo, the app icon, the splash image and the ticket link.

## Festen Orga

Volunteers, shifts, meals, nights, who is on site: everything the team organizes, in an app that also works offline, on a phone or a computer. One project per edition, the modules chosen for each festival.

- Today: The current day: the service to check in, the shifts, arrivals and departures, what not to forget.
- Team: Volunteers, from application to confirmation, their availability and T-shirt sizes; importing a list or a survey.
- Shifts: Posts, the schedule by day or as a calendar, volunteers suggested by their availability, check-in.
- Meals: Who eats when, diets and allergies, the kitchen sheet and check-in at the service.
- Nights: Who sleeps where and on which nights, from arrival to departure, place by place.
- Program: The shows and what comes with them: the meals, nights and shifts of the companies. The public program is edited here too.
- Reports: Headcounts, hours per volunteer, absences, meals and sizes: on screen or as CSV.
- A registration link per group: The manager of a company enters its people, their diets, meals and nights; the answer lands on the group’s record.
- Suggestions, not surprises: Rules suggest meals and nights from the program and the shifts. You approve; what was checked in or fixed by hand is never touched.
- From one edition to the next: A new edition takes over the posts, the time slots and the settings of the previous one.
- Offline first: Every phone keeps the festival data and syncs as soon as the network is back.
- Check-in in two taps: Meals, nights, shifts: search a name, check it in. The unexpected extra hand too.
- Personal data: Consent asked for diets and allergies, personal data purged at the end of the edition.

## Frequently asked questions

- Is there anything to install? No. The website and the app open in the browser; the audience can add the app to their home screen. The admin and Festen Orga open in the browser too.
- Does the audience need an account? No. The program, the favorites and the offline mode all work without an account.
- What is the address of the festival website? An address like festenao.com/p/your-festival/, with the app right next to it, at /app/. Put it on posters, social media and tickets.
- What if the program changes during the festival? You edit, you publish: the website follows within minutes, the app as soon as it has a network.
- Can we change the look along the way? Yes, at any time, in the festival settings. The website and the app change with the next publication.
- Where is the data? Festival data is stored in Europe, with Google Cloud (Firebase, in Belgium).
